Russ Frazier


An electrical engineer with application programming skills and experience in Java JEE web development including jsp, javascript, JQuery, JQTouch, HTML, CSS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Tomcat and GIS.

Working knowledge of semiconductor technologies, physical design and computer aided design (CAD). Experience with CMOS, BiCMOS and MEMS technologies, including submicron technologies at 65, 45 and 32 nanometers. VLSI designs include microcontroller units (MCUs), ASICs and memories (SRAM and DRAM).

Application programming skills and experience in 3D simulation, animation and graphics programming and development. Experience with Blender3D, Delta3D API, OpenSceneGraph and OpenAL. EDA and CAD software, C++ and Java applications.

Russ enlisted in the Navy when he was 17 years old in 1978 and spent the next 6 years as an enlisted man training as an underwater weapons systems technician and then deploying overseas on the USS Guardfish (SSN-612), a fast attack submarine home ported in San Diego, California.

He worked his way through college, eventually graduating with an electrical engineering degree from San Jose State University, California.

He has worked over 10 years in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) industry and in microelectronics for ISS (Avant!, Synopsys), Mentor Graphics, Renesas and IBM Microelectronics.

Russ has served on the Executive Committee of the IEEE Eastern North Carolina Section and is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
